The Centre for X-ray Diffraction Studies is equipped with the leading-edge analytical instruments and offers the widest range of research techniques available in Russia. We work in various fields of materials science, solid state physics and chemistry, and other fields related to (a) development of advanced materials, (b) research on nanosystems and nanomaterials, and (c) synthesis of biologically active substances and drug developement.
In these labs the SPbU students develop the necessary research skills within the academic courses related to X-ray diffraction analysis. Advanced training subject-related courses are organised on the basis of these complexes for employees of SPbU and external organisations.
