The main objective of the Centre for Optical and Laser Materials Research is provision of up-to-date research services. Apart from scientific activities, the equipment of the centre is used in education, training and professional development of specialist degree students, bachelor students, master students, doctoral students and academic workers of the University’s various faculties.
The main direction of the Centre for Optical and Laser Materials Research is the implementation of a wide range of experimental studies determining both the composition, optical, physical and chemical properties of various substances and materials as well as studying of a range of physical phenomena in the interaction of radiation with matter.
Main types of research implemented by the centre:
- • Raman Spectroscopy;
- • Luminescence Spectroscopy;
- • IR and UV/Vis Spectroscopy;
- • Pico- and femtosecond research;
- • Dynamic light scattering and measurement of diffuse layer potential (zeta potential).
